“THE KARACHI NAMA MUSIC” VIDEO LAUNCH, Dr.Baber addition to new talent.

Dr. Baber rocked the recent show and will hopefully be continuing to rock Karachi! Dr.Baber Khan launched his music video “The Karachi Nama” on Saturday 30th May at Southend Club. Dr. Khan is one of the new singing sensations born and raised in the City of Lights, Karachi. Being the lead vocalist in an alternative rock band “Soul Anesthetics; which was formed in 2006 and is also based in Karachi; he is on his way to the mainstream ‘scenes’ of Pakistan.

Dr Baber
Music has always been a part of Dr. Baber’s soul, from childhood to when he graduated as a doctor and even when he was a Civil Services Servant. He caters to a wide range of vocals taking inspiration from the classical, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Abida Parveen and Ustad Amanat Ali Khan, to the western maestros, Iron Maiden, Skid Row and Dream Theater. These not only influence him greatly but also add flavor to his ‘compositions’.

‘The Karachi Nama’, by Dr. Khan, an ode produced as a tribute to the city of lights. Karachi is characterized as something wild, something that never sleeps. This character can be further compared with an enormous Sindhi Rilli (a patchwork of various colours and patterns that looks very pleasing when put in one place). The song describes Karachi in a positive light and explains how, the amalgamation of all the cultures from the subcontinent, gives a pleasant zest to Karachi. It is also the city’s forward looking and buoyant people which enable the city to outshine in comparison to the other cities. Karachi’s culture has strong roots in the past, and branches in the future, a tree under whose shade people find abode.  .It feeds them, wipes their tears, puts smiles on their faces, lulls them to sleep, it even bears in silence the wounds that they wield. Karachi welcomes everyone, it doesn't turn them back. It offers opportunities, brings out hope, and in doing so burdens itself with shouldering the ailing economy. The song makes it absolutely clear the Karachi has got it, and it has every right to flaunt it.

“I hope that “The Karachi Naam” will move everyone who loves Karachi. It will help us realize this undeniable fact that Karachi pays a very critical role in Pakistan’s development”. The writer & composer of this video, Doctor Khan said.
He is working on his upcoming video “Dua-e-Ranmadan”which will be released in the Month of Ramadan. The music producer is Aqeel Ahmed & the video is directed by Farrukh Sheikh. The chief guest of the show was M. Ali Rashid the MNA of National Assembly
The Event was organized by Fomentar Events & PR. The event highlights included the live performance of  Dr.Baber Khan The show was hosted by Barkat & Uzmi & the red carpet hosted by VJ Palwasha.

Obesity rising with TVC’S

When we talk about early ages in that era people were more active & less dependent on technologies as well as maids. They use to do all their tasks themselves & that is why they were healthy & active. Well now a day’s trend has completely changed rich people or even upper middle class thinks having maid is a status symbol, which is completely wrong. Islam preaches simplicity & our Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) use to do all his tasks himself; even in male dominated society men never do chores at home. Popular culture is another big problem it is taking youth to eating disorders like Bulimia Nervosa & Anorexia Nervosa, people have stopped believing in balance they go towards obesity or towards 0’Figure it’s all because of advertising.

As per calculated in my “Research Thesis” of Bs(Hons) Mass. Communication. Soft drink ads are one of the most running products in the market, marketing or advertising them is not wrong but high intake of it can harm human bones, so their ads should be little simpler instead of very adventurous & all time excitement. Ads like “MOUNTAIN DEW” creates habit of high intake most likely in boys as they love watching adventurous or motivational ads too much Whereas if you see ‘sprite’ ads they associate food with soft drink & at times one need it with heavy food. So it’s acceptable, they show in ad like meat etc. Frozen food or Tin foods products should be aired for lesser slot or should be aired less as preservatives in it are not good for human health; so many people started lying on frozen food & are suffering from Malnutrition while some are suffering from obesity. Eating products ads appeal so much already so they should show their product less instead of frequently. So that people do not rely on this food instead of fresh fruits.
Obesity is a big problem after watching ads of instant noodles of any brand kids start insisting their parents, only to give them that in food. This in the end results in mal-nutrition & obesity. Healthy or chubby kids, teens or adults always look cute but over weight never looks good. Take proper diet in balanced proportion like take all pulses, beans, grains, fruits, vegetables, red meat, white meat, milk, yogurt, honey & eggs. Take everything but keep on switching your food weekly, do not stick to one food thrice a week. Avoid too much of carbohydrates & starch which is obviously in sugar, rice & potatoes. This way you can stay away from obesity. Eat 3 times a day but to daily work-out even though for only 20 mins. Going to gym is not necessary for work-out you can do walking, jogging, running, yoga or even aerobics. Daily burning of fats would keep you safe. Another fast food/junk food is quickly raising obesity among people leaving a balance diet & going towards junk is not only raising obesity its increasing high Cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart disease & depression.
