ETHICAL JOURNALISM WHERE?

A mark of disgrace

Journalism: can be described as a methodological approach of inquiry, or literary style, to social and cultural representation. Journalistic integrity is based on the principles of truth, accuracy and factual knowledge. Journalistic mediums can vary diversely, from print publishing to electronic broadcasting, and from newspaper to television channels, as well as to the web, and to digital technology. The chief motive of journalism is to disseminate information and awareness about news and other events of social relevance
It  is a profession of truth, respect & harmony this profession is called to be the nearest profession matching with Prophets but a communication process done by Holly Prophets was the original & purest form of journalism which was all human centered Journalism if you go to any part of the world & ask a Journalist that what is the best journalism he will surely reply “Human centered Journalism” so where can we find that best journalism in this century ?
In this global world where we talk about “ETHICS” in every step of life specially media/journalism students are taught about  “MEDIA ETHICS” in books but in practical life there is no such thing like “ETHICS”
Every reporter has its own beat so they should learn Ethics of their beat reporting, rape is a stigma of disgrace on society specially for a Muslim state these days continuously rape cases are shown on media parents get upset after watching such exaggerated news they have anxiety, if there is any rape case concerned authorities should take some drastic measures against that they should arrest the criminals & hang them to death. they should be moral for the society so that next time so called men but actually wolves think 1000 times before committing such worst crime. such reporters who report these kind of news should not exaggerate news & try not to disgrace the family they should not name the victim & family if they want to interview victim they should hide face or blur it such questions should be avoided which tease the victim, reporting should be done ethically they should cover less such topics but eradicate this stigma of disgrace as soon as possible from society there should be conferences of print journalists with electronic journalists they should share experiences & should be trained under experienced journalists.

Blessings of Ramadan Mubarak! (Easy Earning points with calculation)

Ramadan Mubarak to all the Muslims across the Globe

Ramadan is the (month) in which was sent down the Quran & the rest of the Holy books too, The first ten days of Ramadan are days of mercy; the second period of ten days is for forgiveness, and the final period of ten days is for seeking refuge from Hell fire. Allah opens the doors of His mercy and forgiveness in this blessed month and chains the major devils so that they do not molest the Muslims. However, Muslims who still fail to worship & to perform good deeds are actually caught by their wrong/ lower-self (nafs) whole year long one makes such mistakes in life get use to that so their nafs starts getting lower, one can only overcome that by focusing more & more on prayers
Every Muslim should cut all negative ties with society at least for this month and view it as the month of working diligently on oneself. This is the month of earning and we should work hard to earn reward and righteousness. today's world is full of sins atleast for going towards something positive a Muslim should at least quits all bad stuff in Ramadan though should be followed the rest of the 11months but one can always initially start with Ramadan stop listening to music it will be hard for 2-3days then your (nafs) will cleanse off due to good act & you will feel more nice without music every Muslim girl should cover her head because if you fast & you don't quit prohibited stuff in Ramadan too, then your fast is nothing more then starvation for Allah, The fasts of such people who remain restless for Allah’s sake are not only limited to abstinence from food and drink, but their eyes and tongue and all else also remains in a state of fasting. When Muslims remain thus in a state of fasting from head to toe and raise their hands in supplication at the breaking of the fast (iftar), then Allah will grant whatever they wish for.

In this month, the credit for every farz increases 70 times and credit for every nafal equals farz.
Prayer is the one among the pillars of Islam and obligatory on every Muslim man and woman. I would like to highlight the importance of prayer particularly in the month of Ramadan. Here is a simple calculation:

Credit for 1 prayer in Ramadan= 70 times
Credit for 1 prayer offered b’ajamat in Ramadan= 70 * 27 = 1890 times
(Equivalent to 1890 prayers offered individually in months other than Ramadan)

If a person individually offers a prayer five times a day in months other than Ramadan and continues doing it for a year, he will offer 5 * 365 = 1825 prayers
It is very evident from the above calculation that one prayer offered b’ajamat in the month of Ramadan has more credit than all the prayers offered individually at home etc. for a year in months other than Ramadan. (1890 > 1825) so if we offer Kaza(left-over) Salah(Namaz) in Ramadan we can compensate our previous prayers Subhan'Allah.

This month is so blessed that the birds in the air, the fish in the seas, and the animals on the earth pray for the forgiveness of all those who fast. Moreover, when they break their fast at iftar, the angels say Aamin to their Duas.
Although waking up for Tahajjud might prove difficult the rest of the year, we wake for Sahar anyway during Ramadan, so a few rakats should be easy to pray at this time. For this one month, we should strive to spend our waking hours reading the Holy Quran, staying away from gatherings that waste time, and control our tongue from vain and hurtful speech such as backbiting.
O you who believe! Observing As-Saum (the fasting) is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqun (the pious - See V.2: 2). (Al-Baqara, Chapter #2, Verse #183)

The scope of mass communication

The scope of mass communication

Hi Every one I dedicate this post specially to the students of Mass.communication & my all class mates, being a Mass.communication student i seriously feel proud choosing this field, every student should first look at there skills there potentials & then choose a proper professional degree according to that. at times we decide wrong field for us some people figure it out at right time some later suffer. initially i wanted to become a Dr. as i never knew that i am so excellent for Mass.communication, my Teachers found it out one told me to go in Advertising one told me to choose electronic media they always said you have a spark in your personality so don't waste it, my Favourite Teacher Sir Ehtasham, said you have a potential well presented personality Alveena go & take Admission in Mass.communication he explained me the job opportunities so i will today share that with all of you
The unfamiliarity with the subject is a leading cause of enrolment of disinterested candidates in Mass Communication. You should know well about Mass.comm before taking admission, as due to its few typical reading & writing skills course might be difficult. Most mass communicators are found doing irrelevant jobs; the reason is improper understanding of the subject or having a narrow concept of the field.  However, there is no dearth of jobs for the candidates who have graduated in Mass Communications. Alone media: print, electronic, and on-line  provide a big proportion of employment for the Mass Communications degree holders. After getting education in the discipline, a student can be appointed in media organisations (e.g. newspapers, magazines, radio stations, TV channels, news agencies, etc.) as a reporter, sub-editor, proofreader, researcher, copywriter, assistant director and assistant producer. there are other fields relating to Mass Communications in which the public, private, and non-government organisation (NGO) sectors are included. A media organisation itself can be a state or privately-owned institution. Commonly, major preference is given to the private sector of media, however; a large number of opportunities also exist in the public sector. Almost every organisation, whether private or public, needs the services of a public relation officer (PRO) who has a responsibility to promote the mission and vision of the firm by issuing press releases, making videos, designing brochures, leaflets or pamphlets and writing other promoting stuff to achieve the desired targets. Though, a mass communicator can also be an anchor, actor or performer, this does not necessarily require the qualification of Mass Communications. In fact, people from other fields can also be good performers if they have some natural talent and deep interest. Similarly, Mass Communications is not viewed as an essential requisite in the appointment of technical staff in any kind of media organisation. Next to media, the NGO sector employs scores of mass communicators. In fact, almost each NGO has a department of Media and Communications. The major responsibility of such a department is the propagation of NGO activities in the media. Besides, an NGO publishes its own newsletter, magazine and other writing stuff. Making documentaries is also one of the jobs of the department. Therefore, an NGO announces the positions under the title of media officer, communication officer and communication specialists and Mass Communications degree holders are highly preferred for these posts. A mass communicator should not restrict himself or herself to the theoretical part. In fact it is also necessary to learn the practical aspects of the subject. In this regard, the students of Mass Communications should actively take part in the activities organised at their educational institutes and experience practical work in their targeted area of the field even during the academic career. Students interested in media organisations, the corporate sector and NGOs must do internships in the respective fields. In fact, every year scores of students graduate in Mass Communications but only those equipped with skills succeed.
No doubt, Mass Communications is a very interesting subject and possesses a wider scope, but it should be picked by the students who are highly interested in it.

Veil (Women protection)

 Parda”

(A women in Hijaab is like a pearl in Shell)
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them a right. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
“Parda” is an Islamic term which translates as “Veil”. “Parda” or “Hijab” means in English a cloth which is used by women to cover themselves so that their body parts are not visible to males. The basic purpose of “Parda” or “Hijab” is to control obscenity in society and to minimize the chances of adulteration. Read the basic concept of “Parda” or “Hijab in Islam  and consult the verses of Quran regarding the teaching of  Purdah.

How important is parda in Islam?
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 33 Surah Ahzaab verse 59:Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 24 Surah Nur verse 31:Dear and beloved Sister in Islam, Allah Subhanah, the Lord and Creator of the Universe, has Commanded and Declared it obligatory upon the believing woman, who sincerely believe in Him and the Last Day to adorn themselves with the 'hijaab' whenever they are in the presence of non-mehram males. Regardless of the reactions of the ignorant and the un-Godly upon her dress of righteousness, a believing woman should feel honored and proud to adorn herself in the uniform which none other than her Lord and Creator, Allah Subhanah Himself, has prescribed for her.If a believing woman violates the Commands of 'hijaab' when in the presence of non-mehram males, she would indeed be guilty of transgressing and disobeying an obligatory Command of her Lord Most High.

O Prophet, enjoin your wives and daughters, and the believing women, that they should cast their outer garments over their persons. It is expected that they will thus be recognized, and not molested. Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

(O Prophet) enjoin the believing woman to restrain their gaze and guard their modesty, and not to display their adornment except that which is displayed of itself, and to draw their veils over their bosoms, and not to display their adornments except before their husbands, their fathers, .......and also forbid them to stamp their feet on the ground lest their hidden ornaments should be displayed.

Status of a Teacher

Education is Obligatory on every human being according to Islam, so Teachers are the one who teaches the generation guide them the right way, tell them what's wrong & right they are the one who give children a Formal education & make them Professional's & successful in their occupations Teachers are called spiritual parents one of the bestest Quotes i have read is by Aristotle  “Those who educate children well are more to be honoured than they who produce them; for these only gave them life, those the art of living well.” ― Aristotle I am very impressed by the personality of Ashfaq ahmed his book "ZAVIYA" in urdu language is amazing he gave lesson in every chapter, same he narrates in one of his chapter "Teacher in the court" people in our Country doesn't give the respect to teachers what they actually deserve! same as they do not get paid handsome amount in alot of Institutions in his chapter he refers to `Stop disgracing all teachers`
In Rome (Italy)  when he was the youngest proffesor of university He says: I had to appear before a magistrate for not paying my fine on time.
When the judge asked me the reason for delay, I told him that I am a foreigner so i am new to learn the rules here, judge asked him what is your profession he said i am a Teacher, Before I could complete my sentence, the judge said, `A teacher is in the court. a chair should be brought for the teacher a Teacher has come to the court On hearing this, all the people present there stood up along with the judge. & then judge very politely & sweetly addressed him that just because of you we are here Teacher for any Judge its very painful that a teacher appears infront of him in court Ashfaq ahmed says the salary of a Teacher is not very good here too but the respect people give to the Teacher is amazing  That day i Realised the secret of the development of that nation. the respect that developed countries give to their teachers another Quote regarding Teacher:

we are not just Teachers we are the managers of the worlds greatest resource"Children" Robert John Meehan

Politician's Luxuries

" MORNING SHOWS "

Morning shows are Infotainment television programs broadcasted live usually after the start of offices and schools. These shows are for both demographic audiences male and female This trend in Pakistan started slightly more than half a decade ago.Almost all the Pakistani based news and entertainment channels run their own morning shows.Morning shows hosts are typically regarded as media personalities and are often regarded celebrities Morning shows in Pakistan are mostly viewer interactive and get mighty response from them on regular basis. This interaction takes place via live calls, text messages, emails and social networking websites. As these shows are aired for an hour ,so there is not sufficient time to include calls of all the participants, thus most of the callers are kept on waiting lines and during that period, they are charged heavily by their network operators which most people do not realize. This generates alot of profit as people, just in their craze to win some worthless gift hampers create a pile of text massages, sometimes knowing sometimes in darkness that they are going to be charged heavily for that.
One of the brightest aspects of the morning shows broadcasted from Pakistan is that they depict the Pakistan's culture and tradition in a very well organized manner, aired to the whole world. This includes celebrations of Ramadan, Eid and independence day.Apart from this many morning shows ran successful cultural campaigns such as wedding seasons from the ceremony of Mehndi to Valima everything is displayed according to our culture with a redesign set and clothes worn by the participants.Ocassionally these programs hold a serious episode concerning bomb blasts, terrorists activists or pay attribute to some legendary personalilties.Sets are often redesigned in colours of such events. Many times it has been observed that the female anchors fail to resist their tears during emotional discussions and often shed tears.
The dressing usually of female anchors is objectionable as they are dressed up so heavily and the makeup they wear is way too more than the limit of decency. This sort of approach gives morning shows look of fashion shows, deviatng from the main aim and objective of the program.
To summarize the discussion it would not be wrong to conclude that morning shows are a good platform for public entertainment and knowledge focused on the audience which stays at home and plays an important in their nurturing and gives them aolt to learn but there is still a need to learn from the common mistakes and some room for further improvement in the plan.
